Info on the first photo (Jacksons) https://digitalcollections.lib.washingt ... ai/id/7015
In the early 1930s, Chester E. Jackson and his wife Emily lived at 2650 West 85th Street in Seattle. Jackson operated a Richfield service station nearby at 2658 West 85th Street. This photo, taken around 1931, shows Jackson's service station with its two tall gas pumps. In addition to Richfield gasoline and other automobile products, Jackson's sold ice cream, tobacco products and snacks.

Info on MACKenzie Greenwood Garage https://digitalcollections.lib.washingt ... le/id/940/
Fred E. MacKenzie's garage located at 8531 Greenwood Ave.

Infor on the Taggert Motor Co in Seattle. https://digitalcollections.lib.washingt ... ai/id/4090
Before it was annexed to Seattle in 1910, Georgetown was a separate city connected to Seattle by streetcar. By the mid-1920s, Georgetown was just a short drive away in the family automobile. This 1925 photo shows evidence of both the old and the new transportation. Taggart Motor Company, the Ford dealership, sits on Stanley Avenue near the streetcar tracks. The old Georgetown city hall with its pointed clock tower is in the right background.
