Hi all,
I am looking for a source for brass U channel to make up the pieces that go between the two pains of glass on the early brass Rands windshield. It appears it is about a 3/8" channel. Not sure of its wall thickness.
What are the dimensions and wall thickness of this channel? Anyone already know of a metal supplier that carries it?
Already talked to Speedway Motors but they couldn't supply only the these parts.

Not looking for the brass channel that the glass directly fits into. I need the straight brass U channel that goes between the upper and lower panes of glass.
The windshield in the photo does not have the brass channel for the glass in it like it should, but it does have the straight pieces of U channel between the panes of glass that I am looking for. Lang's doesn't sell it, but they do sell the complete reproduction windshields made by Speedway Motors. I also contacted Speedway Motors and they will not sell the two pieces of straight U channel that go between the glass. They don't make the reproduction windshields in house and get them in as complete kits.
The Speedway Motors kits are US made so the raw U channel came from some supplier, and I don't have a loose one to check it's wall thickness. Really didn't want to pry one of them off my 1912 just to measure it.

Thanks for the information. Didn't find that one. I will get a set on order.
Still have #1400 in my shop but the engine/transmission is on the way back together, finally. Up to this point my regular work load hasn't left a lot of time for that project for Leon. But now that I have just retired, it should be back together fairly soon.
Also, I haven't forgotten about our conversation about trying to do a little detective work on the original owner of your 1910. Now that I have a little more time, I need to get with you again about what I can do to search local records in West Bend.
