Anyone ever get their T painted at Maaco? What did it cost? What was your experience?

Anyone have any suggestions for a discount paint job on a T that still looks okay?

A discount paint job probably won’t include painting under the fenders. Don’t know what your car looks like as far as the paint goes but a new paint job won’t look all that good with the underside of the fenders not repainted. A big part of the cost would include masking off the different areas of the car so that would have to be considered. What preparation work would a discount paint job do is what I would want to know before hand. Just my opinion.

The Maaco here in Portland do good work, one of the few shops that will cut out rust and weld in metal. If you want a quick paint to sell something off or have them go through each piece and take the time they do have a Good, better, best option.

I had them paint my 77 F150 and 39 P/U, 10 plus years on both and still look great.

I paid Maaco to paint a replacement fender on a modern car of mine 10 years ago. They did a great job; would definitely pay them to do similar work in the future. I’ve considered exploring what it would cost to have them paint my ‘22 sedan, but if I went that route I may elect to remove the fenders and running boards first myself, to give them full access to the nooks and crannies.

I have a neighbor that owns a MAACO I have not had him paint a T but he does all my modern cars (1966 to pressant) and have never been disapointed.
You do get what you pay for if you whant a $400 paint job you can get it. I you want a $10,000 paint and body on a classic musle car you can get that too. I get comments on my 2005 pick up all the time, and most people don't believe its a MAACO paint job. He has a great reputation, is busy, pays his help well so he has good people working for him. It's not uncommon to see Jag's, Porsche's, Land Rovers and collector cars in there getting repaired and or painted.
