Did all T’s come from factory with a can? All were mounted in the engine bay or on engine? Are all the brackets Tim makes copies of originals?

And finally, where is the can mounted on a 26/27?

My understanding is that they all came with a can, but none came with a holder. The various holders you see were /are aftermarket accessories.

Danny , to answer the holder question directly. Aftermarket sources made many different can holders way back in T days, so really up to the consumer. I have probably 7 or 8 here just to enjoy looking at the ingenuity. When we would buy a pile of car parts and had extras, we would put on eBay. The ones that always did really well were just like the one we make. Spring loaded, good looking. We’ve sold original rusty, greasy ones just like them for well over $100. The trouble became that they would pop up less and less frequently.
A couple years ago I found a really nice one and used it as the pattern for the firewall type that we sell. Someone suggested making one to mount on headbolts, or similar spots. Hence, version #2. Then , someone asked about the model A. Version #3 was made to mount on the 1928-9 model A by just remov8ng a gas tank bolt and using it to mo7nt the can holder. We think you can buy a cheaper oil can holder ( just look at eBay) but not a better one than ours.
The difference in ours and the original is new powder coat paint and a stainless steel rivet. We do aim to please so if anyone wants a rusty, greasy one, we can do. Just holler! We have sent out a couple of raw steel ones with a plain steel rivet on request. I saw a double can version that I would like to have myself, but no plans on making any. Some old cars would keep oil and gasoline for the priming cups under the hood. Just don’t mix them up!

Not there is a lot to oil on a Model A. When I want to put a couple drops of oil on something I simply pull out the dipstick and drop the oil where needed.

I didn't know anybody was making can holders for sale. I made mine with a mouse trap and a piece of scrap sheet metal. I think I spent less than $2 on it.

Years ago I purchased a reproduction oil can with the Ford script on it but the spout was too long
to mount under the hood no matter where it was placed. Luckily I found a vintage oil can and it
fits perfectly. I bought a reproduction mounting bracket because I need my mouse trap for its intended
purpose because my cat is lazy and too well fed to do what cats do.

Steve, You think like owners did back in the teens and twenties. They did, with what they had. The 'El Cheapo' way.
