MTFCSD overnite tour to Borrego Desert

This weekend the MTFCSD organized an Model T tour into the Borrego Desert. Yesterday we drove from Ramona and visited an earthquake fault in the desert. We had a geologist in the group and indeed we found two major earthquake faults. Along the way the desert flowers were in bloom, not really looking like desert except for the sandy trails.
Today we visited the home of Marshall South who lived in the area during the 1930. I played him in a film as he had a Model t. The film was a documentary about his life and I didn’t have to speak nor were there any closeups. All I had to do was wear overalls and drive an old T. I used my 1917 which is now in England. Not much left of the house, it was almost complete when we took Carolyn there in the 1970s. Some of the stills in the film were from pictures we took on that 1970 trip.
Yesterday we had no problems except for the snow going over the mountains east of San Diego but today one of the cars was put on the trailer as it was making nasty noises.
