Pic posting size issues
When this forum went to this new format years ago, one of the "pro's" of it was to be able to post pics of just about any size with no problems, as opposed to the old forum. Steve Jelf used to always promote that.
Seems lately tho, about 80% of the time I try to post a pic, of "usual MB size", it gets tossed out because the PIXELS for Height and/or Width exceed parameters. This never happened before, so I'm curious as to why it is now, and of course if anyone else is experiencing this.
Not to be confused with the pixel requirement for our user ID Avatar. I get that one.

Re: Pic posting size issues
I get the dreaded yellow triangle too, but very rarely. The odd thing is that the rejected photo is no bigger than the other full sized pictures I post with no trouble. When that happens, I usually have to reduce the size only a pixel or two to make the picture post.
The inevitable often happens.

Mine will only post if I turn the picture sideways. Try that
Very irritating and I try to remember to take my pics landscape for that reason.

Danny, I have the same problem. If I take the pic vertically with the cell camera, it won't post.

I have problems when I try to post straight from camera. When it ask you from library or camera? If I just use camera it is always rejected. If I get pictures out of library it will ask size and I use medium.
I am not ask size when using just from camera. Dan

Re: Pic posting size issues
Dan, mine get the boot whether its from my camera-phone or the computer. There's also no consistency either...and it always seems I have to shorten the height, as opposed to making them narrower. Never had this the first year of this new format. It's a pain having to go back to my pic and re-size it then post it again holding my breath to see if it goes through.

Re: Pic posting size issues
Tim,
You must remember that your picture has to fit into the very small phone line and is stretched out like taffy as it progresses through the system. Every time your picture crosses over an insulator on the pole it has to stretch even more to make it past therefore making the picture larger than the one you sent. So you must reduce the size of the photo so it fits in the very small wire.
I hope this was helpful.

Re: Pic posting size issues
I just gave up posting pictures. Maybe the next software update will help whenever that is.

Some of us may not be around that long. Didn't the previous software last over twenty years?
