Another whatzit with a prize !
First correct answer. Only one clue, it’s T Ford related. The first correct answer can have a choice of one of our spring loaded oil can holders, or my left kidney. I’m still using my right one.

I think I'd go for the kidney Joe, it would be a great conversation piece hanging on the wall of your shop.....

Re: Another whatzit with a prize !
I thought it looked familiar since I have the twin to it, I do not need any can holders since I have a couple I have never mounted and I do not think I need a kidney it would stink after a while hanging on the wall. Thanks any ways!

Re: Another whatzit with a prize !
Good thread. I "pondered" but didn't think of babbit. Speaking of which, did Models A, C and/or F originally use babbit bearings? I think the Model B did, and that may have been the first Ford model that did, but not sure.

Re: Another whatzit with a prize !
Rob, The F has a Hinged rod and I have done several, the early one had 1/4 at least of babbitt in them and lots of shims.

Re: Another whatzit with a prize !
The 2 cylinder fords had bronze main bearings originally (3) , but I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot were bored out and babbitt used to rebuild.

Re: Another whatzit with a prize !
Not one of Fords better ideas. This is an N, R, S hinged rod. The A,AC, C, and F were similar, only much bigger.

The new F rods that Bill's son machined out of billet with two bolts where a work of art compared to those hinged rods!

Everything those Lucius boys do are a work of art, Joe! Lot of talent out your way, must be something in the air. Jonah, send me your address. I’m sure Joe would be glad you get his oil can holder. If he pitches a fit, he can still have the kidney.it’s worn out anyway. Send your address to tmorsher@icloud.com

Dave, we have butchered many years and there are some parts of the hogs people would not believe you can eat and some of it is the first to go on butchering day with the hot fires cooking.
