Stromberg passage plugs
Carb runs great on new engine start, but dribbling a little fuel from the passage screws. They were a little loose but don’t want to snug them in until I ask. Not tapered and nothing to seal on the lip. I am thinking a touch of pipe dope maybe.

I snugged them up a little more and I think the dribble stopped. I was being too careful and anal.

DO NOT put pipe dope on them. Those are called grub screws. They tighten again the edge of the hole. Allen head screws have nothing to tighten against and need a washer. If you really think you need something on them a little swipe through Ivory soap is the best thing you can use.

Re: Stromberg passage plugs
I understand that but the burr needs to knocked down also or it doesn’t have a flat surface for the edge of the small collar on the screw to seat against and seal. I deburred the threaded hole surface and snugged it down and all is fine. The burr was keeping it from seating 100%.
