Does anyone use Cast Iron non Starter Hogs Heads anymore? Or should I just take off pedals and clutch shaft, scrap them? Dan

Never scrap any usable Model T part. They aren't making any more. Yes, I know there are some things you can't even give away. Those should be saved too. Maybe a dealer in used parts like Model T Haven or the Neunhoffers would be willing to take them.

A Purist would want one if he needed it. We tend to think Transmission covers are fairly cheap T parts. But you ever think how much it would cost to set up and tool up to make one? A nice reproduction would cost more than we could imagine! It definitely would not be cheap!

Gee, Dan... If you really feel the need to scrap it send it my way instead, I have a '17 motor that will likely not get a starter, and the iron hogshead is a LOT more durable (and less hard to get) than the aluminum version... They only made them for what, 3 years or so?

I haul at least 10 for scrape as people would not even collect for free. Same goes for 20 good frames, no takers at $50.00 each. Tired of tripping on valuable storage space.

I put a cast iron no starter on my 1914. It never had a starter, and it won't now, either.
I sold another early aluminum one that was a no-starter to someone who also wanted an accurate restoration. That was an early 1910-1913 cover.
DON'T throw them away. Dedicated T'ers are STILL looking for them.
I have one more late aluminum no-starter in my pile. Someone will need it eventually.

I am in same boat Hank. People think I am talking one, how about 1 pickup truck load!
I am taking 35 mag coils to Luray. Going to start cutting up frames to make engine stands. But no one will buy them either. Some time you just get too much stuff.
