My used model T front fenders have a rubber strip between the fender and the frame. I am told on good authority that T's did not have them A's did. I think it is probably ok and maybe beneficial to do them. Is there a preferred one? Are these ok? https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway ... eb28_2020)

Correct info, T's never had fender welting with a bead like the Model A.

There was small welting used on the 26-27 turtle deck to rear of the body on the runabout, but that is the only place.

You can use it, be aware the gaps won't fill, and the strip could migrate out of where you think it should stay. Use of automotive trim adhesive will help.
Cut holes in the strip for mounting bolts, and cut 'v's' in the strip to help round curves.

Because I thought it would be a good idea to keep down noise and vibration, I tried to install welting on my ‘26 coupe during the first restoration body assembly, but the Model A welting with 1.5” flap that slips down between the fender and the body, that I purchased from J.C. Whitney, did not go deep enough into the joint to hold. If there was welting that had a 3” flap, it might go deep enough into the joint to be held in place on the Model T. Jim Patrick
