Painting My 1927 Coupe Body
I plan on painting the main part of the body Channel Green or Highland Green. I have no idea how to proceed in obtaining the paint or what type of primer to use. Need Help! I will have an experienced body man paint it.

Re: Painting My 1927 Coupe Body
Each body man will use what he knows best so if you know who is going to paint it ask him first. I use PPG and always used epoxy primer over bare metal and body work. Then if you want to wet sand it you need another primer over that like high build. I stay away from anything in a rattle can because the reducers from the good stuff will cause problems with it most of the time. A good body man wont want to paint over someone elses primer without knowing what it is.
Give an old car guy a barn and he won't throw anything away.
