Interesting find on E&J Patent pending lamps

Post by JTT3 » Tue May 18, 2021 10:27 pm

I guess I’ve overlooked this for a long time. I have a early pair of flared E&J side lamps and a tail light that came with my 09/10 (said that for you Darryl). I just noticed that the jewel on each lamp is a different color. I knew that the earliest lamps have a smoothed non faceted jewel but never notice that the drivers side has a green jewel and the passenger side has a red jewel. I believe that’s opposite of a nautical light. Any answers or opinions why the different colors and when the change to a standard faceted red jewel happened.
