I just returned to my home in Michigan from a wonderful tour over the Memorial Day Weekend of Wisconsin's beautiful Door Peninsula. My hosts were the Dairyland Tin Lizzies, a great group of people, many of whom I've gotten to know over the last couple of years. With a few modifications, they've held this tour for many years and as a result have it down to a science. Sixteen cars participated with only one breakdown (on the return trip.) The weather was cool but the sky blue and the air as crisp and clear as can be found anywhere. The view of Lake Michigan as we drove along the Lakeshore was awesome...in some places mere feet from the water's edge. The roads were excellent and with few exceptions we had them to ourselves, quite a feat on a busy holiday weekend.

It was so great to be able to tour again and the other tour participants couldn't have been more welcoming. My 1917 Touring suffered no mechanical issues and handily completed the 327 miles of the tour. My thanks and congratulations to the Dairyland Tin Lizzies for such a great tour! If this tour is any example, when they host the national tour in 2022 (Wonderful Wisconsin Tour) it ought to be awesome!

Kelly and I would also like to give Thank You to the Dairyland Tin Lizzies for a great tour.
The tour was outstanding and perfect to a T (pun intended).
This is one weekend tour I would do again from the sights and the people we spent time with this tour was fantastic.

Thank you Tim and Brian for your kudos and pictures for our Destination Door County tour. Kudos are also due for the tour organizers Dan and Phyllis Schultz and Dewayne Fritz and Diane Scheid.
Tim mentioned that one T broke down on the return trip. That was my '26 Roadster Pickup and the issue was a broken U Joint. I have it apart now and have a good Ford Script U Joint to install. We will be ready to go in plenty of time for the Spokane Tour!!!

Nice pics Tim, looked like a nice tour. Wondering how you got there..."over the bridge and through the woods"? Or down around Chi-land and back up? Or did you ferry across too?

The Wisconsin folks were so nice to us I'll have to take back all the things I've said about those living beyond the Cheese Curtain Truly a wonderful group and a wonderful tour.

Keith - glad to hear you have things in hand. A U-joint is a lot better than a failure in the rear end..... I must point out that Keith and Carol are pros. They didn't get all excited - just dealt with the problem and moved on. As they say in the west, "Not their first Rodeo."

Tim, we went thru the UP. I go to Oshkosh every year for the big airshow and that is our preferred route. Time-wise for us it isn't much different. Beautiful scenery, reasonable traffic, good roads, just a pleasant drive. In the summer, we've been known to pull over and take a swim in Lake Michigan if we aren't in a big rush. We usually camp at JW Wells state park which is only a couple of hours from Sheboygan or Oshkosh.

Brian left his trailer in Ludington and took the SS Badger across. We were there to meet him and heard his fellow passengers cheer as he drove off. I don't know if that was because they were glad to see the T or to see Brian go. The Badger docks only 22 miles from the Door Tour starting point.

Sounds like a nice "tour to the tour"! I love the U.P.
Keith, sorry I neglected to give my condolences in the loss of your U joint. And like us old boat Captains would say...just another blip on the radar. Move around it and move on. Sounds like you've got it well in hand.
Looking forward to the '22 Wisconsin tour also!
