New owner of a 1927 Model T Touring, just wondering what these holes in the door side panel are for?

Side curtains metal frames ?

There should be side curtain snaps installed in those holes.

Look into the door top holes. Square socket hole. For side curtain rods.

Those holes are for special spring loaded sockets, they hold the curtain snaps, which are button operated fingers. The snaps are secured with the sockets. The door arm rest has holes for receiving the side curtain rods, that allows the doors to open with the side curtains. Early T's didn't have that luxury feature. Nice T you have, good project and will be fun!

Seat covers like the one on the front seat were very popular right after WWII. I haven't seen one of those in decades.
If you slid across one of those covers on a cool, dry day and then touched metal, you'd get a heck of a shock!
