Are the rop panels of a low hood and high hood the same? I know there is about an inch difference in the side panels but will the top panels interchange and be correct? Thanks, Art

Does this answer your question? low 24-25 - high 26-27

It seems to me that the firewall and cowl were wider and that the hood top panels would have had to be sized to match.

None on the panels will interchange between low & high hoods. I tried when gathering pieces for our '21 touring hood. We still don't have a really nice hood. I finally just decided to remember that the side panels measure 12" tall at the front so if I find a hood at a swap meet I can identify it easily.

On our Canadian sourced cars, there is another give-away to telling a high hood from a low one. The high hoods have a relief in the side at the bottom to allow the hood hooks to be engaged. The low hood sides do not have this relief. Handy if you forget your tape measure.

Allan, that is how I finally learned how to identify them. Don't ask how many years it took for me to catch on to that. Dave
