2021National Tour - Spokane, WA
The MTFCA 2021 National Tour kicked off with over 130+ Model Ts from across the US.
The Inland Empire Model T Club has done a fantastic job of coordinating things and making everyone feel more than welcome to the Spokane area.
I’ll try to summarize and attempt to attach some photos. I ask other attendees to please attach photos also - not everyone can make it to a National Tour, but we want to share as much as we can.
The Board of Directors held their annual business meeting and membership meeting the day prior to the tour start.
Day 1 on Saturday was a 105 mile run that took us into Coeur d’Alene to the Pharaohs Car show where we stunned the crowd with our Ts; the variety of years, styles and some colors.
Day 2, Sunday was simply a beautiful run through the countryside to Oakesdale for lunch with plenty of hills, hairpin turns and cows to maneuver around.
Tomorrow- it’s off to Green Bluff growers and Mt Spokane - stay tuned.

Re: 2021National Tour - Spokane, WA
Attempted to climb Mt, Spokane. We got to the base of the mountain and log truck hit a powerllineand tore it down .after a little debate among our small group upon finding out all the other cars turned around we decide to press on.
When we got to the ranger station to get our discovery pass the vulture wagon was loading up its latest victim a Tt truck with a rod knock . We decide to keep going. Halfway up Tin Tiller decide to vapor lock. I went as far as I dared too we turned around and headed home. Found out later we went further then anyone else.
Our little group was my 1919 T and Clayton Paddison's gow job, Robin Fry from the Orange County T club was with Clayton . Yevvone Townsend and Carston Becker my son was with me. Took several miles till Tin Tiller cooled down enough to run right

Re: 2021National Tour - Spokane, WA
While Yvonne when up the mountain with Chris and crew, I had to trailer back to the casino to fix a flat tire. I wasn't about to change a non-demountable in the 97* heat of the day in the middle of a field.
Yvonne broke out one of Dennis Prince's the clown nose to remind me that we were still having fun.
After the 45 min ride back to the casino in a rig with A/C I started in on the tire. Jim Gordon helped me and all was done before Chris, Yvonne and crew got back.
Tomorrow is another day!

I saw the “Red Light” roadster several times on my way through to Sturgis. The Red Light Garage was a fun place with very good food. When did Barb and her husband sell it?

Re: 2021National Tour - Spokane, WA
For anyone planning to return south from Spokane on HWY 97, as of this morning it IS open. South of Klamath Falls 97 is subject to delays as it is reduced to a single lane at some points. The Southern Pacific rail line is also closed. Some track is damaged and an 1100' bridge was also taken out. Repair crews are active. The Klamath Basin is choked with smoke & very hot, not pretty. I understand that we are not alone, much of northern CA & OR have much the same conditions.

Dave, Clayton was there with his roadster and gave a very informative presentation about what speed equipment is available for the T. He was super gracious and offered one of the Orange County members, Robin Fry, a ride which she enjoyed tremendously. His car and short seminar was a big hit!

I thank the Spokane club for this tour. It was fun. They did an exceptional job. There were three original 1925 pickups on the tour. Dean Yoder, Jim Elenbass, and mine.

Re: 2021National Tour - Spokane, WA
This was my first Model T national. AS past President of the HCCA I attended many National tours, but My 1st model T tour outshined all other big tours.
That Spokane group knows how to throw a party!!!! All of their members were most helpful and gracious. Everything was well scheduled and orchestrated. I do not think anyone was left behind at any time..
I was the navigator on all legs while riding in Mike Yeakles freshly restored 1910 touring. We sorted out small issues as we drove and made the entire tour under our own power.
I invited a lady friend to have her 1st indoctrination to model t Fords and touring. She had a blast and is looking forward to touring in our 1914 roadster. We enjoyed a great week of fun and beautiful sites.
The couple I want to point out were Mike and Jackie Stormo. He was everywhere where needed and Jackie was most helpful and friendly. I know what it takes to put on a good tour and the Spokane group set the bar really high. Cudo's to the Inland Reginal group they showed those that attended a really great time.

Re: 2021National Tour - Spokane, WA
We went to the tour at Spokane and had a wonderful time, we are still out touring around Montana. We spent a few days at Pet Kelly's in Noxon Montana and a group of the local T people took us on some spectacular drives, it was great to find a group that likes to drive the type of back roads that we like. Pat and Joan couldn't have been better hosts and except for some smoke and a little warm it was perfect. We are in Alhambra Montana and have internet for the first time. We will be going to a number of ghost town and mines tomorrow. We still have another 11 days let and having a grand time. T Bums of Central Oregon
