Re: New Philadelphia Annual Tour this weekend
I am not able to participate on the the tour; far too busy with coils and mags, but I am going down for part of a day since it's fairly close to me. I am scheduled to meet one of the participants who is bringing a load of cores for me but I don't have his cell number to arrange the meet-up. Anyone know how I can contact the tour leader and get that information from him or her?

Looks like two beautiful contenders. Bet the judges had their hands full looking at every nook and cranny.

Just noticed...the '10 must've had the wheels put on right at the spot. Those smooth white tires are way too clean!

Wow...14 Ts hauled away on trouble (a.k.a. vulture) trailers! Gotta be a record. Otherwise at least they had great weather.

Tim
I was on a T tour years ago in the Black Hills where the local Model A club, who ran the Vulture Wagons for the T club, racked up a couple thousand miles in cumulative towing. It was a tough tour. I had several friends pulled up one hill by a dump truck who was watching the cars attack and fail to negotiate a dirt road hill. He stated that he was already in trouble with his boss for being late while watching/waiting for the "T"s and decided to use his time attaching a rope to several cars to get them up the hill.

Re: New Philadelphia Annual Tour this weekend
Back when I was but a pup with a recent barn find and the local club was with the International...
Someone said to me the best way to get a reliable vehicle would be to take a marginal running vehicle to an annual tour, let the vulture wagon grab you the first day, be willing to stay up half the night that night and every night after...and before the tour is over you'll have one of the most reliable cars going.
I never called that challenge...but have heard a zillion war stories since about how true that challenge really is! Something to keep in mindful a newbie

Re: New Philadelphia Annual Tour this weekend
The weather was truly awesome this year.
In regards to the 14 T's, if I understood the info correctly, four of those 14 just ran out of gas. And I'm not sure if the other 10 had to be hauled back to the hotels. It was just 14 total calls to the trouble trailer crew.
After Monday, the number of calls dropped precipitously!

Yeh, Sue Cook updated on it at our local club meeting last Tuesday. Thankfully nothing super serious, and indeed some just embarrasing!
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: New Philadelphia Annual Tour this weekend
One T that ran out of gas soon changed the in-line 12 volt fuel pump with a new spare and continued the tour in about 15 minutes.
