"Gypsy" side curtains, awesome.
Just installed a pair on my 27, took it out for a cruise and ordered a set for my 26 when I got home.
Love the looks, love the function.
Trying to decide if I want to get a front bumper, the car has a rear bumper, and there are brackets for the front bumper attached... but bumper is missing. Maybe the bumper got bumped then discarded.

I like the cover on your top too. Where did you get it?

Both came from langs,
The car is dark green, and the canvas looks really nice with it. The canvas was the material that came with the "sport" package

Front bumpers can be a PIA, even tho they do add a bit of good looks.

They do look awesome! I've considered getting a pair for my 26 touring. Are they as functional as they are good looking? Do you think they block enough wind to help keep the front seat passengers a little warmer when it's forty degrees at 30 mph? Thanks

Re: "Gypsy" side curtains, awesome.
John, I would say no, they don't block any air! As for functional, that depends on what the function is I guess. I've never "bumped" anything with them yet, and don't plan to. But to me their main function is just aesthetics. The car does look nice. Oh, wait...yeh, the other good function is, they make a great place to mount the front turn signals, I bought the type for a Model A and they squeeze in between the rails perfectly, and frankly, look nice too. Obviously, you have to remove the front rails, but not the mounting brackets in order to remove the engine. And of course, just wait til you have to crank the engine over with that bumper in the way!!

Oops! Sorry Tim, but I was referring to the gypsy curtains. Thanks for your input.

Hey there,
I would say they do block a good amount of wind, especially crosswind, but they do sit more "forward" than you would expect. Its been warm, but with the top up i would think it would be quite fine down to the 40s (dressed for it of course). I have a full set of curtains and frankly its too toasty to have those on unless its at least in the 40s! I did drive with them in the rain the other day and it was just fine. I mean there is still a big hole of course, but they did a good enough job.

Thanks Stephen, without using full side curtains, if the gypsy curtains actually reduce the wind chill, it would make late fall drives more comfortable.

John,
can you post a pic of the inside of the gypsy curtains, how they attach to the door?
thanks

I don't have gypsy curtains as of yet, but I think they attach with a hook and spring to the hole in the door where the side curtain rod goes.
