One is a KRW PU-602
The other I see no markings, just lots of parts to it....

The one item in question is a 3 pound Maxwell House coffee can.

You had better NOT let your wife see what you've done to her towel or you won't have to worry about tools ever again.

It is a PU-302, not 602. It is used for setting the transmission end play on 1950's Packard Ultramatic transmissions. Any KRW tool with the P or PU prefix is for Packard.

I was thinking the same thing. Or part of the kit for cutting and installing valve seats.

A pair of gloves.
