15 gas tank venting

Post by Mountainrider » Sun Aug 01, 2021 5:01 pm

I was being frustrated by the way my 15 ran great on some days and then seemed to lack power on hills others. After lots of forum reading I decided to look at the vent in the gas cap. The hole in the top was clearly plugged. Depending on how tight I tighten the cap was causing the problem. Such a simple problem to over look. Thank you forum members.

Had a mechanic that worked for me before I retired, he always said "start with the easy things first"...it's usually something like that. Glad this was the case for you!
