Left hand Ruckstel

Post by GG Gregory » Mon Aug 02, 2021 3:48 pm

I’ve been thinking of getting the left hand Ruckstel shifter from Lang’s to give me more leg room in my 27 Roadster. Lang’s add says the lever runs up through the hand brake opening in the floorboard. That seems like a crowded fit, will the hand brake still function correctly or am I misunderstanding the instructions ?

My dad did that many years ago when the spline striped on his original shifter.

I have a left hand shifter on both of my Ruckstells and love it that way. I bent the shift lever to offset it and that helps to get it out of the way for your left leg. Both the Ruckstell lever and the parking brake handle fit in the original slot in the floorboards.

I also shorteed my shifter handle so it doesn't hit my leg .
