I am collecting photos of the 1926/1927 Improved Ford Runabout in all factory colour combinations. I would appreciate your photos of 1926/1927 Runabouts in any of the colour combinations outlined below. My research suggests this table is complete and accurate (let me know if you have other info!).
One ad says "blue or brown" body
Wheel colours from The Improved Fords for 1926 and 1927 (MTFCA) Bruce W. McCalley. Rev. July 1, 2000
From The Improved Fords for 1926 and 1927 (MTFCA) Bruce W. McCalley. Rev. July 1, 2000 "The improved Ford Runabout is finished in black." "In late 1926, perhaps for the 1927 models...open cars could be had in Phoenix Brown or Gunmetal Blue"
The ad "THE RUNABOUT" lists Blue or Brown only.
From MTCFA Encyclopedia WIRE WHEEL COLORS
(Late 1926, and 1927)
Casino Red, Emerald Green, Straw, Drake Green (1927) and Black.

The usual provisos should be applied: there were special order colours from the factory, dealers were able to offer other colours sometimes, etc. The original hue of a factory colour is debatable. The sample colours in my table are from paintref.com - no idea how accurate they are.
I believe this means that there were 6 combinations with wood wheels (Body + Wheels):
Black + Black
Black + Natural
Brown + Black
Brown + Natural
Blue + Black
Blue + Natural
and 15 combinations with wire wheels (Body + Wheels):
Black + Black
Black + Red
Black + E Green
Black + Straw
Black + D Green
Brown + Black
Brown + Red
Brown + E Green
Brown + Straw
Brown + D Green
Blue + Black
Blue + Red
Blue + E Green
Blue + Straw
Blue + D Green
Please submit any photos you have of 1926-1927 Runabout in any of the above-listed factory colour combinations. Thanks for your help in building this photo collection!
