We finally got my 1916 coupelet running very well. By we I mean me and a couple of Model T club guys who were very helpful. After a carburetor problem developed I replaced the carb with another 1916 carb rebuilt by Corey Walker I had laying around. The car starts very easily now, either when I turn the key to battery or on the second pull of the crank, and it runs well on the magneto. The last few days I polished brass, buffed 4 fenders, 2 splash aprons, two running boards and the turtle deck lid, which made them all look much better. The borrowed front wheel has been replaced by the correct one after a new tube and flap were installed. Today I cleaned the outside and inside of the tires with Wesley's Bleche White. They now look white instead of yellow. I then washed the car and took a few pictures of the reasonably clean car. It still needs more detailing and I did not clean the tire treads, but it looks pretty good. Saturday I plan on taking it to its first Model T club function.

Here are some of the car with the top up. They were taken earlier before I got it cleaned up. The interior, with headliner on the inside of the top and part of the ornate door panel, the dashboard, which is upholstered with the carpeted floor, and two of the car with the top up.
When viewed from the front or side the car looks much more massive than a roadster.
A coupelet has been a dream car of mine since I started playing with Model Ts in 1962. Now I finally own one. I feel very lucky.

Great looking car. 90% of the time I would drive it with the top down, but it does pbotograoh very very well with the top up. But there's nothing better than touring top down with a clear view all around!
