Has anyone ever used these? How hard are they to install? How do they work? Thank you.

In the spirit of giving an opinion while not answering the question . . .

. . . I don't see the advantage to having them. Once my bands are bedded in and set correctly if something changes and they need adjustment I want to open the cover and have a peeky-boo anyway to see what's going on in there.

I run them in all my T's. They make for optimal band adjustment.
The current ones available were copied from ones I redesigned from the original design to add O=ring seals.
I sold a few sets to vendors. I think Chaffins still stocks my units. One of the southern vendors copied my design.

Installation is fairly simple. The pedal shaft (tube) is pressed into the pedal & drilled both sides. The old rivet hole is tapped with a taper tap to lock/pin the set screw tightly into the pedal & shaft. A center bolt moves a special tabbed lock nut to adjust the bands.
You will have to remember to check the transmission screen & clean occasionally.

Be warned, these knock offs have a bad reputation of loosing their welded tabs & falling into the motor. (as I found out here in past discussions on the subject)
