Sorry to hear of your and any Midel T hobby's loss. He's up there at the Model T swap meet in the sky with Tony Wiltshire. May they both rest in peace. Prayers go out to your friend Ed.

I dealt with Ed years ago. He rebuilt my 1924 touring. Nice guy, great work. A great loss the hobby.
Shouldn't this thread be moved to the main forum?

I met Ed in the summer of '20 when I visited his shop. He helped me find some long misplaced parts belonging to my '26 touring project, for which I'm ever so grateful.
I live locally and have been meaning to stop by and say hello this summer. I'm saddened to learn of his passing, and now deeply regret not getting that 2nd visit in. A real gentleman and quite a character at that. He knew everything about T's.
Sincere condolences to family and friends.

Very sad indeed. I met Ed when I got my first T in 1980 when I was 20 years old. He took a liking to me and my friends as there weren't many "younguns" he came across. Yes, he was a character. He would tell us things like, "If you're not sure about something, call me. Don't "F" it up because I don't need your business!" I hoped to see him this fall before heading to Hershey as it has been a few years now. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Ed did three engines for me all of which are still running fine after many, many miles without so much as a rod shim having to be removed. He was a master T mechanic and a really nice guy. Before the days of Skat cranks he managed somehow to find a standard EE crank for me after the original crank in my '10 joined the two piece club. A real loss!
