Six of us club guys got together for lunch along a breezy Sandusky bay today, afterward I took the scenic route home to also stop by one of the guy's place on the way home. So I went along the lake shore on what is called Cedar Point Chausee. We're getting lots of wind from the remnants of Ida, and she has the lake roiled up. Pics don't show the waves as they were. Some approaching 8' further out. A few decided to wash over the road and spray Clara. Fun ride!!

I haven't been to the shore of Lake Erie. It looks just like the Pacific Ocean with waves. Is that water fresh water or salt water? If it is salt water, you need to wash the car including the under side to prevent rust.

You should see that stretch of road in the winter, that spray freezes for quite the spectacle.
You don’t see any boats on those 8’ers. Lake Erie 8’ waves are like 12-15’ waves on the ocean.
At least you don’t have to worry about it being flammable anymore, eh Tim !!
Nice pictures.

I can’t understand why anyone would live on that road, except unbelievable views of Lake Erie out your front door and back door. Million + dollar homes, so not a lot of T owners there( none!). Many times of the year the road is un passable, so you just use your personal helicopter .

Our largest lake in California is called the "Salton Sea". It is salter than the ocean, as is the "Great Salt Lake" in Utah. Not every inland lake is fresh water!

All the 5 Great Lakes are fresh water, Norm.
I believe the largest area of fresh water in the world, I could be wrong about that. Ending up at Niagara Falls. A beautiful sight too.
I’d be more worried about the Muckleheads than muscles Tim, but they’re earlier in the season.

I think your'e right Dave. Superior being the largest. That's a lot of water in the huge chain.
Norm, I didn't know you folks have another salt lake out there. Interesting!

I agree Dave, interesting how some call them "Muckleheads", and yet others, like in my parts, we call 'em "Muffleheads". Either way, they're extremely annoying.
