Is there a good paint stripper that the EPA has not banned ? Aircraft remover used to be good. I am stripping a radiator shell.

3M used to (and may still) sell a product called "Safest Stripper". I have used it in the past with good results and can confirm it is not nearly as caustic as classic stripper.

All depends on the kind of paint. Aircraft Remover is about the only thing for Powder Coat. Lacquer thinner works on some. Most of the new stuff is citrus based and works well. Start with what yo u have and if that doesn't work - follow recomendations

Citri-strip and a wire wheel on a drill or grinder works well. It usually takes 2 or 3 treatments though to get all the last little bits off.
