What year Coupe door glass do I have?

A couple of years ago, I ordered a complete glass set for a 1927 Model T. Coupe. I received the crate, and set it aside, as at that time the body was in a paint shop locally, and not accessible to me.

A couple months ago, it was time to start the installation of the body glass. The windshield was shy on all dimensions, but useable. The rear window glass was fine. The two quarter windows aft of the coupe doors were also fine. All of them installed with no problem.

HOWEVER, the door window glass was obviously NOT for a 1927/27 Coupe. It was 5" short of the correct width.

The owner ordered glass to dimensions from a friend of his in Tucson who owns a glass shop. I am supposed to go pay for and pick it up tomorrow. So the problem with this man's 1927 Coupe is solved.

However, I am left with 2 new pieces of glass for a coupe door, and I am trying to find out what year they will fit, so I can sell them, as I have no need of the extra glass, and I was quite annoyed with having to deal with this after buying a full set of glass, and then STILL having to get some made. That part is my own fault, as I should have unpacked the crate as soon as I got it. However, I never had the dimensions anyway, so just looking at it wouldn't have helped me. The glass I removed I destroyed immediately, for fear that someone cheap would wind up with it, and put it back in a car, and perhaps injure or kill someone's grandchild. So that left me with no reference and no way to check the actual dimensions.
Next time I will lay the glass aside and store it until the replacement glass arrives, and then compare them before destroying the old glass.

In any case, I have 2 pieces of door glass, presumably for a coupe. They measure 20 3/8" wide, at the top and the bottom. (So they are straight-sided.
The height is 19" at one end, and 19 7/8" at the other, presumably to fit the crown in the door frame.
I have no glass drawings, and could not find enough of them on this site or on Google to make a determination what year they might fit.
Does anyone have any ideas as to the proper year for these door glass pieces?
I know some of you have door glass books for all years of Model T's, and I am hoping someone could flip through theirs, and let me know what these can be used on.
Thanks very much!
Bill

This is from the Ford glass book. It looks like your glass should have been 25 7/16" wide to 25 1/2". 5"off as you say. I don't see any in the book for the width you have except the Tudor glass on the next page of the book. It's heights are wrong but the heights you have are correct for the 26-27 Coupe. Perhaps if he had the book, the page got flipped at some point.

Good luck.

Thanks very much!
Can anyone post a pic of the diagrams for a Tudor glass set? If this is the only model that the width is correct on, then I must have a couple pieces of Tudor glass. But are these for the DOORS on the Tudor? Or what position do they take on the car?
Thanks!

These include the Tudor and Fordor. The incorrect one I mentioned was for a 22-23 Tudor (centerdoor?) Door Glass which I didn't include here but can if you need it.

Thanks, Rich!
I appreciate all the drawings posted!
It appears I have 2 scrap pieces of glass, because they don't fit ANY drawing so far. I assume they weren't paying attention when they cut them, and wound up cutting them too short on width, but OK on the heights. But in any case, I guess I will store them for awhile, until I toss them when I get irritated.
I picked up the other set of glass today, so the car owner has all he needed to complete the glass installation. I'll wait to hear how they fit. I would rather they were a little wide, than too small, because if they are wider, they can be trimmed, but if they are too narrow, they are just scrap glass and I will have to order yet another set.
The car owner also just got his speedometer setup from Russ Furstnow, and it looks very nice! There was an A.C. speedometer on the car when we started the restoration, but those are just paperweights.
Thank you again!

Please check to see of the felt window channel on the side of the window frames is in place. The newer felt channel is sometimes thicker and the window glass needs to be made narrower.

Perhaps those "scrap" pieces could be cut down to Coupe Quarter windows.
Just a though.
Perry, maybe that's why my Coupe door windows have torn the felt and won't slide down now. Curses!

Is it possible the glass is cut for a TT closed cab?

The Glass book lists 1925-27 TT door window as approx. 24 1/2" wide by 20 1/2" high so no.

It is my understanding the the dimensions in the glass books will be too large to fit with the modern glass tracks such as the ones from Mac's, etc.
The new set of glass I just had cut, we fitted a sheet of fine plywood, and trimmed it until it would move smoothly down the glass tracks in the door.
The plan is to try the fit of them, and then have the glass shop take off a 1/16" or so if we find they are still too tight.
If they are loose, you have scrap glass on your hands, so oversize is better than undersize.
You can always trim more off. but you can't trim more on.
