An old friend

The old man steps up to his car,
It is a very old one with narrow tires.
It has a crank handle out front,
And he grasps it with his right hand.

He puts out a wire loop on the left,
And pulls up the crank four times,
then steps around to the left side
And turns a key and a buzz is heard.

He returns to the crank and takes hold,
He spins the crank one or two times,
Then a sound of an engine running,
He gives the old car a pat on the hood.

The old car is an old, old friend,
He has owned in for a long time,
The old man gets in the old car,
And takes it for a ride once again.

This is the ending I was going to use for my poem.

The old car is an old, old friend,
He has owned in for a long time,
The old man gets in the old car,
And drives down the road for one last time.
