Found this neat little spark plug gap tool. Can anyone tell me if this goes back to model T days or is it maybe V8 era.

It's a cute little thing. The bluing reminds me of Model T era plugs. This one is brighter and appeared 8 years ago:

It was described as a Champion and .025 but no year made.
However, it seems Ford used blue and white on most of their parts boxes even into the early V-8 era. The orange and the Ford script in the oval look like later 30s or 40s to me.
All I can do is guess. Others have good knowledge or other opinions I'm sure.

The gauge is.025, the tool itself says Champion on it. Not sure if these were made for Ford, OR sold through Ford dealers, OR given away when you bought Champions at a Ford dealer.

Ford tractors had a spark plug gap of .025, could explain the orange box.

The box does say to check the making good performance book. If you had the booklet maybe the gauge could be dated. Just a guess.

John, That was the ticket ! I found a booklet by that title on T- Bay, dated 1934. So this must be a early V8 tool.

Good deal! I wonder what year range the booklet has in it. If only you could see inside!
