The casting number and serial number don't really match but looks like you have a 1918 engine. The firewall came from a starter car which would be 1919 or later. There's a drip rail on the top of the firewall which is also from a later car. None of these things are really disqualifying...pretty typical actually.

Serial number 2,689,530 corresponds to May 22, 1918. That is six days after the May 16, 1918 casting date on the side of the block. That is perfectly okay and is to be expected. The casting date and serial number can be as close as one day apart, as is the case with my 1917 roadster.
Look for a body number on the front passenger side floor riser. Depending on the body manufacturer, it will be stamped directly in the wood or stamped on a metal tag and nailed to the wood. This will be a body serial number and a month and a year.
Based on what I see on this and the other thread, I would not consider it a 1917 Ford that has simply had some parts swapped out.
As I posted in the other thread, if you post better photos and more details of the car, we can better ascertain what you have, i.e. a 1918 Ford or a "put-together." It would really help to locate the body serial number/date.
What is interesting is that the replacement upholstery has double rows of buttons on the cushions and seat backs. The early 1917 Fords that were produced starting in August 1916 had double buttons which was a carry over from the 1916 model year. They eventually went to a single row of buttons some time during the 1917 model year.
