Windshield Stanchions

I know there have been several posts on this before but I am new to the T world and my 1922 or 23 Canadian Touring came with a bunch of parts that I cant seem to make fit.
Here are the windshield stanchions it came with (obviously reproductions) and the 2 windshied frames. As you can see the stanchions have 3 holes in each. Are these actually for a 23 ? Is the centre hole there for a mirror ? The windshield frames fit with only about a 1 inch gap between them but im not sure if this is how they are supposed to look.
Any help is appreciated
John

It’s too cold to walk out and look, but I don’t think those are the correct stanchions. I don’t remember a 3rd hole in my 24, and they look longer.
The 2 sections of frame should almost meet.

I wonder if the upper one isn’t American?
I have the correct stuff at home but not there for a few days, so I can’t send you pictures right now.

Are we sure they are Ford? The top mount is not like an american T.
Is canadian different? With that said, I say not model T.

I dragged home a '22 - '23 Canadian cut-off touring home many years ago with that type of windshield stanchion I recall - had those top clamp posts on it - don't remember the 3 holes though.

I’m not aware of any difference in a Canadian car.
This is my 24 and a few other posts I have for a slanted windshield.

I don't know what you 3 hole windshield stanchions are from but the extra hole is probably for a bolt on rear view mirror. The stanchions may be for a 1924-27 Ford body C cab TT truck.

Canadian windshield stanchions continued

Ive posted several photos of my car with the reproduction stanchion that came with the car (black) and the new (shiny metal) one I just bought from Snyders. I thought because it was a 2 hole suppport it would work for my existing windshield but I was wrong. It looks like theres a lot more to this US and Canadian windshield saga than i expected. Im thinking it might just be easier to source a windshield that fits the stanchions I bought. Will that cause me problems when I get around to installing my roof on my 22-23 Touring?

Last years Langs catalog front cover has a picture of a Canadian assembly line about 1925 which shows the Canadian windshield. You may do better by finding a complete Canadian windshield with frames and stanchions as some of your parts may not actually go together, or may not be Ford. Looking closely at the picture of your parts, the lower frame does not look like it is the right one, it is a different cross section shape and the studs are mounted with a different cone, and has a hand hold. I found this picture on the internet, misidentified as Hyland Park, but to my knowledge Hyland Park did not make export T's, notice the drivers door hinges and lower pivoting windshield.

I see that the factory has wing nuts on the lower panel....mine has a clip for the side curtains fastened there. Is the lower panel supposed to open ?
I have a couple good windshield frames BTW, if interested John.

The lower windshield opens for Canadian made and export open slant windshield cars. USA made cars did not have an opening lower glass panel until the 1926-27 improved car.

Thanks for the help. I think I will need to find a windshield set that goes with either set of the stanchions I have. Ruxstel24 if you want to send me some pics of windshields you have and prices maybe I can buy something from you. My email is jernst@me.com

Thanks
J
