Maybe the advantage was those nice upholstered seats ? Otherwise, I'd have to ask "Why ?!?" :lol:

Years ago a fellow old car nut acquired a mid-20s Marmon roadster from a ranch in Star Valley. Lore that accompanied the car included tales of how the owner would load it on a sled in winter, and a team would pull it down from the ranch to the county road so they could drive it to town. It looks like a major undertaking to load and unload this Lizzie from that wagon box !
