Who supplied centerdoor, Couplet, and coupe bodies?

Mark Cameron should know. Fisher supplied some of the bodies at that time and is likely to have made closed bodies for the new closed body line.. Wilson and "Pontiac" supplied open bodies and may have made some closed. It would be interesting to have a list of suppliers by body the and model year. Ken Jones once told me that Fisher supplied the new 1915 open touring bodies and that they were liter in weight that the sample ones made by other suppliers.

After 1920 up, looks like Briggs made some closed models.

My 1919 centerdoor was made by an outfit called ‘Beaudette’

Wadsworth is another . I think Ford may have made some, too.

I believe that Wadsworth and Fisher were the major pre-1923 sedan suppliers. I read somewhere that the Wadsworth factory burned down in the late teens and may or may not have produced bodies after that. I compared my 1922 sedan body to one that was reported to be a Fisher and there were minor differences. I know there are Forum members who know much more.

I think that the 1919 to 1923 coupes, with the doors that open at the front, were made by Briggs. Our 1922 coupe has a body number that starts with a "B" for Briggs.

It has been my understanding that the '24 and '25 model year coupe bodies were built by Budd.
