Hood Shelf Question

I bought two hood shelves for my 1922 Centerdoor as there were none with the body when I got it.
Upon inspection, one is for a mid to late 1922 as it has the large hole for the headlight wire bushing. The other shelf, while it is the EXACT same shape and dimensions, only has a cutout in the forward outside corner for the wires to pass between the shelf and the fender.
My question is thus: would you care enough to drill an appropriate sized hole for the bushing in the shelf that doesn't have one, or would you just leave it alone and have two non-matching shelves? (Which will be totally obvious when the car is finished)

Will, the one with the cut out in the side is earlier. There was another variation too. It had a hole in the top surface, with a pressed ridge around it, just large enough for one wire. The correct one for 22 is the larger hole to take the hard rubber sleeve the vendors sell. I'd drill the shelf to take it.

Now you get to have fun lining up all the holes for the frame, wood blocks, fender, and hood shelf. I used a bunch of punches and a lot of flexing. Ha!!

The holes in both are exactly the same spacing to each other. It’s just a new hole needs making.

When I got my 1921, it had the embossed/rolled edge hole for the 2 wires on the top for the wires to come out. Do not recall if they had notches on the engine side for the wires to come in, As far as I could see, the shelves were original to the car.
This might help;

I didn't take pictures, but I did cut a hole in the shelf that didn't have one so it would match. I used a center punch and a step drill.
Originally, on the piece I drilled, a cutout was in the front corner on the headlight side for the wires to pass through.
Both shelves were in really good condition when I got them, and I really didn't want to take the effort to source another one to match, or spend the dollars on a repopped one.
I had already viewed several threads on the topic of hood shelves just to make sure I wasn't insane.
Thanks for the help.
