Delco distributer use?
Can anyone identify what these robust little Delco distributors were used on? I’ve always associated them with small industrial things like tow motors, but so much knowledge out there, I’ll bet someone knows.

They were used on lots of different motors, I believe 4 cylinder. Continental (air compressors) REO Speedwagon, etc.

Can't read the number on my computer screen otherwise I would check my Hollander book. But some 1930s Dodges had circular points like that.

Tim, The Filling Station looks like it has what you (and I) will need for these distributors:

Re: Delco distributer use?
Since the seller is off on the spelling of REO, I'll bet he's off on the 1939 year, also. By 1939, REO was making big six cylinder engines in quantities more so than small four cylinder engines. REO four cylinder "hey days" were in the teens and twenties. Although I don't have the truck, anymore, I still have the title to my 1923 or 24 REO Speedwagon fire truck. It had a big four cylinder F head engine. REO used Northeast brand electrical equipment (horns, speedometers, distributors, switches, and lighting equipment) as their primary supplier.
