More futzy work in the shop today

Today was jet day. It's remarkable some of the wrong parts that get jammed into these old carbs...this carb was fitted with Model A jets, and "no" they do not work correctly! The latest indignity that this carb was subjected to is being remedied today...

Zenith main jet dimensional first article (the entire part is barely over 1 1/4" long...for scale, the "18" is only 1/16" tall):

Howdy, Scott. After looking at some of your work it's easy to tell that you used to be a watchmaker. I haven't heard this term before but you might be what's known as a micromachinist. I always call myself a metallurgist since I spent 35 years in a machine shop urging metal to do what I wanted. Always good to have a title.

Best wishes to you and your bride as always and if you make it to Florida don't keep it a secret. Bob

But alas, Hank, to do brain surgery, the patient needs to have brains to start with! Even an artist needs canvas!

Will the solid matter from port-a-potties work as filler.., it is practice! Asking for a friend. Mask are extra or free as you go into Walmart.., shop frequent and save.
