How do you tell the difference between a sway back and a straight thru carb float? I saw something about a difference, I want to make sure mines correct.

I know i have too but I ran across a part Langs sells for the straight thru float, a hinge. I wasn't aware of a difference. Part number 6201NHS, kinda pricey too.
