Thank you Dave

Just got the rim...exactly what I needed for a good price. You have made my day...patina was perfect, and getting this part helped me complete this project.

Thank you again.

I have purchased several parts from Dave. Nice parts and reasonable prices.
Just a nice guy as many T people are.

Dave, here it is on it's shakedown run after a 39 year slumber (I regret having left the hood off for the photo). That's my bride of 23 years next to it. The photo on our bridge is with really bad, very old repro rims that sort of schmoosh on like a tupperwear lid...the 4 tabs in the rims are at 12, 3, 6, and.....8:30 o'clock?????? What idiot took the time to form the rims, engrave FORD, and then put one of the pins in the wrong location???? :(

The car was bought from the daughter of original owner, by a fellow who wanted a (future) retirement project. He replaced the top :x and had the engine rebuilt :D , but left the nearly perfect original paint alone :D (complete with drips and sags) and then it sat undisturbed, on jack stands in an air conditioned garage since 1980 (the 1980 tires still had the casting "pips" and flashing on the 39 year old tread, and no sidewall cracks!)...the poor fellow had dementia pretty bad when I heard it was for sale. I didn't know the engine had been rebuilt, but had my suspicions, and after the purchase, which was assisted by his brother, his brother found and forwarded all reciepts for the engine, tires and top, as well as all of the handwritten correspondence from the 1960's where he originally found it and bought it from the original owner's daughter. Lesson for all...do not put off something that is your dream...your future is unknowable and uncertain!

Anyway, new reflectors are in both buckets, one with old rim and glass, and now yours will be added tomorrow. Many thanks again!
