Here are a few more:
The photographer's topless car is a late 1911 or early 1912 with a step-side body, which came from the factory with fore-doors.

Me too! BTW: In a college geology course, my instructor told us that a volcano should be considered active for at least 500 years after it's last eruption.
Lassen is considered by the Federal Government to be an active volcano.

The eruption certainly changed life for B.F.Loomis. A camping trip to Manzanita Lake, his interest in photography and his being there at the right time gave him a certain notoriety. Various news outlets used his images and his postcards must have sold well.
Thanks for taking our minds on another journey. Again.

The Buick in the foreground is a Model B 24. Only the Roadster had that cowl. (B 25 was the Touring)Thanks for taking our minds on another journey. Again.

When did I do that?

My first visit to Lassen was 38 years after the 1914 eruption. There were still boiling springs and mud pots of the Yellowstone type, and there still are today, 107 years after the eruption.
The inevitable often happens.
