There is a hard rubber piece on top of the metal hand brake plate which is shown in the photo. The suppliers catalogs do not have it. Does anyone know where it could be obtained? Maybe it was added by the owner and not from the factory.

Looks like someone nailed a piece of rubber with a slit in it as a wind deflector. You will not find anything like it in the catalogs, it looks homemade or very old aftermarket item. There are pedal boots, but did not see one for the hand brake lever.

I cut a piece of rubber to help seal the handbrake on my 1924, it does help in cold weather. I had to turn the steel trim plate upside down so that it would seal flat to the rubber.

This is period accessory 'wind flap' for the '26-'27 floorboard for around the brake/clutch hand lever. Rather stiff rubber now after 90 years!

My car has a box-like sheet metal accessory that mounts to the underside of the toe board ahead of the pedals to reduce heat and noise. It's very effective. They're available from the vendors.

Pretty sure the sheet metal wind deflectors for the bottom side of the floorboards were standard on the later (20's?) cars, and not an accessory.

The 1925s had a narrow wind deflector, hard to find. The 26s and 27s had a wider version, a little easier to find. They are attached to the bottom of the floor board using hollow core rivets. The first pic is a 1925 unit and the second pic shows the same 1925 unit next to a 1926/27 unit.

Dan,
That looks like a great solution. I’m a little surprised that they are not an available accessory today. However, it does look like it would make pulling the floorboards a little trickier.

Here are some more photos of the item on the floorboard.

With the holes around the perimeter of that rubber draft protector, likely there was a metal frame too, most accessory pieces had a frame. Or sometimes just padded artificial leather pieces. Many types were made for the Ford.
