Replaced the tank, sediment bulb, fuel line and replaced the five ball carburetor. Just checking off the to-do list before I put the T up for winter. It soon will be very cold in my detached garage.

Awww...you’re just showing off a gorgeous engine compartment of a 1909 Model T. But I have a friend in Spokane that left 100% water in the water jacket of his 1914 touring over one of the coldest winters on record. Resulting in a not too pretty sight.

Yeah, leaving pure water in your engine is not a good thing if you live in an area that goes below freezing. I drain my Ts usually, I have fresh 50/50 antifreeze in my 1909 after I cleaned the radiator a few weeks ago, but I still have an urge to drain it. We blow out our lawn sprinkler systems in mid October for the same reasons due to freezing temps.
