Floorboards

What coating/paint should I use on my new floorboards? Were the factory boards painted?
I used Por-15 on my floorboards.
It adhears really well and wears like iron.
It has a glossy finish.
Unless you park outside, with the top down, in the sun, full time,
there are no issues with the color becoming cloudy.
