I have a very similar tank, except that the doghouse portion is missing. I know for a fact it is decades older than I am, and I am 70. It likely came off either a TT or a 1920s GMC truck. It had some red and white paint on it when I was a kid, and it had Texas Company or Texaco logos on it. It has 3 compartments, each one smaller than the first. Each compartment has a seperate pipe leading to a lockable brass valve at what was the back end. I believe it was used to haul gasoline, kersosene and motor oil, with the largest compartment being for gasoline. I think it once had a doghouse structure over the valves like the one in the picture.

Since I have an inherent lust for rust and old stuff, I'd love to bring it home and restore it. I have the space in my shop..... then I'd have to find or build a truck chassis for it...
There is a frame under it. I was working and couldn't creep all around like I wanted to to try and figure out what it was. Maybe I'll go back up there this weekend. The house is a weekend cabin, vacant during the week.

Looks long for a TT if you add a cast iron Warford and extend the frame instead of shortening the drive shaft it mat fit. just a thought.
Craig.
