Horn bracket for '26 touring

I have a '26 touring that I am attempting to install a horn in. The problem I am running into is that the car has a water pump so the original location for mounting is not available. I am trying to keep the water pump as the car has lived more of its life with it than without so I feel that it is this cars history. Is there a bracket available that would relocate the horn without interfering with the water pump or coil box? Thanks!

The correct after market water pump for a 26 has the 2 holes for a direct bolt up.
If you are wedded to THIS pump, you make your own bracket. Noting you are changing the car's history adding this horn.

I have one hanging from the radiator support bar above the engine. So far have had no problems with it.

For a decade and a half, we had a Berg's water pump on my Grandfather's 27 coupe that didn't have provisions for adding a horn. Since the car wasn't ever going to be judged, I used a modified 1919-25 bracket using only one head bolt to secure it, but it served its purpose for at least 15 years. I am currently rebuilding the motor and if it runs cool without a pump, I won't use one. if I need a pump, I have a correct aftermarket pump that will allow the use of the stock horn bracket.

Can you post a picture of the horn?

Hello,
I encountered the same interference problem recently with a 26 when adding a water pump.
Very simple solution is to make two round spacers with holes in the center for longer water
inlet/water pump mounting bolts to give you the clearance you need to mount the horn with
the original bracket. The spacers go between the water pump and the horn bracket.
There is plenty of room to move the horn away from the engine.
Sorry I do not have length of spacer or a photo to post.

A very good solution to the problem. I don't know why I didn't think of it when I had the problem. Its a much better, cleaner way to mount the horn on a water pump.

My '26 came with a water pump - since discarded.
But I still have the horn hung from the rear of the bonnet (hood) rod via a home-made bracket.
Convenient and looks like it belongs there.
