Guess he is not back up to speed, so what is in the catalogs is what can be gotten. Or keep your eyes on ebay or be quick when a set of small drum outside brakes get listed here.

That is who we are talking about as he is the only one making the AC style small drum brakes. It is up to someone that knows first hand or him to post what is going on.

I bought something from Larry last summer and it took quite awhile until the part was sent. I understand he has some health problems and he gets to the orders when he is able. Be patient & I'm sure he will eventually come through.

I believe the new AC brakes are sold with rods, which is not correct. Like Rocky Mountains, AC used a cable and equalizer.

As I know, I previoulsy used cable but now I converted to the linkage with rod made by Richard Baughman (916)652-7827

He's a fantastic man, he ship all compoments before I paid. His linkage is 100% more efficient than my previous cable. For me security come first.

Partly true, they are made to use rods but you can set them up with cables.

I ordered brakes and linkages from both gentlemen. They are great to work with.

I have a complete set of original (not repop) AC brakes which I believe to be NOS. They are in primer. One of the bands is used, but the lining has plenty of meat left on it. The other one is new. I also have the equalizer piece which clamps onto the brake pedal, so you don't need to add a tab to the pedal. The equalizer is made to work with a cable. $450 for all, minus the actual cable. Plus actual cost for shipping.

I can get pics tomorrow when I'm at my shop if you need them.

The bottom line is, why do something incorrectly, when you can do it correctly for less money? Makes no sense to me!
