Champion X: Loose top?

I have some "vintage" Champion X (crimped brass top, long insulator) plugs and noticed on one the brass top rotates, but the electrode at the far end does not rotate with it. How is the electrode attached to the brass top and screw? Is this a problem? Is this fixable?

Also, the copper crush washer is missing. Is there a good substitute? I have a Champion 25 with good crush washer in it. Can I borrow that one? Thanks!

I've never destroyed one to find out, but I believe the electrode is soldered to the cap. If it's become detached I think it's time for a replacement. Yes, you can probably use the same washer. Info on replacement washers is here:

Hmm, if the electrode is soldered to the cap I might be able to reflow the solder with my heat gun. I'll try it this weekend.

I’v Had a couple that the threaded part has twisted off. The electrode is’nt soldered. Just touches. Or may even have a slight air gap, but it doesn’t hinder the spark at the end of the plug.
