Model T Heaven Auction

Post by sweet23 » Tue Dec 07, 2021 10:41 am

There are two videos on You Tube under the name "Mr Goodpliers" from the Model T Heaven auction. Viewer discretion is advised. The second video shows T parts loaded to go for scrap !

I watched some of the videos last night. I think there are 3 of them. They are long as he pretty much kept the camera going. I saw myself and Steve Jelf in one section of the first video. The later videos show a lot of the loading of stuff. But even these videos in no way show the scope of this auction. The guy who makes these videos and some of his friends bought several cars. Most of their cars were 50s 60s era. They also bought things from the scrapper's piles. So, things were being saved even as the scrappers were loading. It is worth watching all the loading videos. They give a very little idea of how much work it is to buy and then move these large loads of stuff. If a person has never bought large loads of stuff, they really can have no idea of the scope of the loading and moving.

here are some links to the videos

If it wasn't here, where would it have wound up back then?
Think someone could have bought the place and charged $25 a pickup load and $100 for any car and still made a fortune.
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Donnie is 100% correct about loading a large pile. There is nothing like getting in the loft of a barn in Mississippi in the middle of August (100 deg) to clean out a barn full of T parts.
After you get done you wonder why do I do stuff like this.
