Is it possible to put a glass model A sediment bowl on a '26 T? [In lieu of the stock '26 metal sediment set up?]
What fabricating or adapters are needed??
Thanks

I don't know if the Model A specific bowl will work on a late T but I have a 26-27 T roadster with a glass filter bowl installed. It doesn't look correct but it does work well. It looks like a type of filter bowl that was common on tractors for many years, having a pot metal body, glass bowl, brass screen, and a shut of valve built in. The bowl assembly appears to have been designed to screw into the bottom of a fuel tank as is common on older tractors. On my T, a 1/2" brass NPT street ell is screwed into the fuel tank outlet. A bushing is screwed into the female end of the ell and the filter bowl is screwed into that. I suppose the fuel bowl thread is 3/8 NPT. It looks bigger than 1/4 NPT.

You could, but it would kinda stick out from the firewall. You would need the proper sized pipe thread adapter to go between the two. The A one does not have a shut off, so you would need to add one. Along with the thread at the outlet hole is 1/2-20 Ford thread, not a normal size.

Not sure of the sizes but you would need a double male pipe thread adapter or a pipe thread reducer to double male adapter if you have to down size to the fuel bowl. You can find black iron pipe parts at home improvement stores that should work. They look a little more patina like. Take the fuel bowl with you for sizing.

It might work, but the inlet is straight thread for flared pipe, so you would have to do a fitting in between the sediment bowl and I think 1/2" NPT in the tank. Sorry forgot about that. https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/prod ... 9352&cat=0
