Group 1 Battery in a Ford Battery Carrier

I discovered an interesting solution to the age-old problem of putting a conventional group 1 battery in a Model T battery carrier. Found this on my 1924 that has been untouched and in storage since the 1960's. Bracket hangs from the frame mounted carrier top and rests on the bottom slat of the carrier. Takes care of that tipping problem once and for all. More elegant than stacking wood to form a platform in the bottom of the frame mounted carrier like my other model T has. Clearly not farmer ingenuity, had to be factory made. The current battery has been in the car since the 1960's, but I suspect this carrier adapter is older than that.

I bought the battery board from Lang’s that raises the battery even to the carrier. It works OK to a point. The 2 battery hold down clamps help to stabilize it. The accessory you posted would seem to work good.

Top up the cells and give it a quick charge... should be good to go!

Put a real battery box in there, and you are good to go!
